How to add your business to Bing Places

Bing Places for Business is Microsoft's free business listing for Bing. If you already have a Google Business Profile, you can import it.

What is Bing Places for Business?

It's Microsoft's free listing for local businesses (some people call it a Bing business listing or Bing business page): your name, address, phone, hours, photos and more, for people who search with Bing. Listing your business is free. (Source: Bing Places for Business.)

The fastest way: import from Google

  1. Go to Bing Places for Business at bingplaces.com and sign in.
  2. Choose to import from your Google Business Profile.
  3. Pick how often Bing should sync with Google: weekly, every two weeks or monthly.
  4. Sign in to your Google account and import the listings Bing finds.

If your Google profile is already verified, Bing verifies the imported listing automatically, then reviews it before it goes live. (Source: Bing Places help: sync with Google Business Profile.)

One thing to watch: syncing can create a duplicate if Bing already has a listing for you. Check for an existing listing first.

Adding or claiming your listing by hand

No Google profile, or rather do it by hand? Search for your business in Bing Places. If it's there, claim it. If not, add it. Bing then walks you through verifying that it's yours.

Either way, use exactly the same name, address and phone as on Google.

Keep it matching

When your hours, phone or address change, update Google first, then Bing (or let the sync do it). The same details everywhere you're listed is one of the nine basics we fix.
